When an initial evaluation is performed, we will discuss your current medical history and symptoms, as well as perform an assessment of posture, strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, fascial tension and tolerance for activity. A plan for physical therapy treatment will be established. A SuperBill may be included to turn in to insurance for reimbursement is requested.

We will engage in functional activities inspired by everyday function and movement and will be guided by the PT for 100% of the session. If indicated, bodywork including stretching and/or myofascial release may be performed. If indicated and/or requested, breathwork and/or mindfulness practices are included. You will be provided with strategies that can be carried over into your everyday routine at home to maximize your benefits.

Assessment will include postural assessment, strength, muscle tone, range of motion, gross motor skills, balance, coordination and tolerance for activity. A report will be provided to you and your pediatrician and a SuperBill may be included to turn in to insurance for reimbursement if requested.

Do you have concerns about your baby’s muscle tone, posture, or progress towards developmental milestones? Does your pediatrician suggest “wait and see”? Does your gut tell you to see a professional anyway? A developmental check-in is the perfect way to discuss your concerns, learn new strategies that are age-appropriate, and get a professional opinion on your child’s development. Strategies, age-appropriate toy recommendations or recommendations for other pediatric professionals will be made.

Developmental Check-ins do not qualify for a Super Bill

This service is a great addition to PT/OT/speech therapy services, working with the fascia in the body. With use of light touch and the baby’s instinctual movement, myofasical release is performed to assist restore symmetrical function in particular muscle groups.
